The Chrome extension

Repair Auditor runs entirely in Chrome on your computer. It has no account and no server, and it does not send anything to us or to anyone else.

It reads the estimate shown on the page you have open in your shop management system, checks it, and shows the results in the side panel. Nothing about a ticket (customer, vehicle, lines, or prices) is stored or sent anywhere. When you close the tab or the panel, it is gone. “Not an issue” only hides a flag in the panel and is not saved.

Repair Auditor never changes anything in your shop system and never sends requests to it. It reads only what the page already shows.

Your shop’s settings (labor rates, parts and labor matrices, fees, set prices, vendor lists, and discount rules) are saved in Chrome’s storage on this computer. They are read from your shop system’s settings pages only when you open those pages and click Save, or typed in by you. Removing the extension, or removing a shop in Settings, deletes them.

A setup code or settings file holds those shop settings and nothing about any ticket. You copy it and move it yourself; it is not uploaded anywhere.

The extension asks Chrome for three things: access to your shop system’s website (to read the page you have open), storage (for your shop’s settings), and the side panel. It has no analytics, no tracking, and no code loaded from the internet.
